Přemysl Šůcha, one of the NCUI coordinators, spoke on June 3, 2026, at the RICAIP Days conference, organized by the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague (CIIRC ČVUT). The main topic centered on the future of European industry and whether Europe can keep pace with developments in artificial intelligence. Its competitiveness will depend primarily on how successfully we can transfer AI from the digital world to the physical world—into robots, production lines, logistics systems, and other technologies of everyday life. The meeting brought together leading European experts from research, industry, and the public sector, while also summarizing the nearly seven-year phase of the RICAIP project, which established a unique Czech-German infrastructure for the research, testing, and practical implementation of industrial artificial intelligence.
